Learn more about the Progymnasmata and
the Classical Writing Method
Course Description:Offered for academic year 2010-2011 ~ Beginning narrative analysis and writing instruction offered to students 7th grade and up. This two semester course will cover the Fable and Narrative levels of the Progymnasmata, using Classical Writing's Aesop and Homer series. This is a twenty week course, beginning mid-September and ending mid-March. Students should be at least 7th graders. from 1:00-1:50, EST. Materials Needed:*Harvey's Student Workbook I (optional, but recommended) *Harvey's Answer Key I (optional, but recommended) Harvey's Elementary Grammar (order from Bookstore) **Aesop & Homer Older Beginner Student Guide for Co-Ops **Answer Key to Aesop & Homer Older Beginner Student Guide for Co-Ops *Classical Writing materials will be offered to class
participants at our 20% co-op discount. Orders will be placed around July 15, 2010. Registered students will receive details via email when it is time to order. **These two books will be available this summer in beta format to students enrolled in the tutorial class. Literature Assignments:Optional but highly recommended literature assignments will also be scheduled for the students. All of the literature assignments are available either online or at your local library.
