Kathy Weitz is part of the Classical Writing team, which has authored a writing curriculum for beginners through high school. A lifelong Virginian, Kathy and her husband Rick and are the parents of six children, ranging in age from twenty-two down to nine, and two lovely daughters-in-law. She has educated her children at home since 1994, has graduated her oldest two sons, and is still teaching the other four at home.
 
Kathy holds a B.S. in Home Economics from Virginia Tech, and stays busy pursuing a classical education for herself as well as her children. She has developed a passion for Latin and the classics.
 
The Weitz family enjoys reading aloud together, practicing hospitality, music, swimming, and long (and often loud!) discussions around the dinner table.
